Dan Dodge
Cofounder & Chief Executive Officer [+] More Dan Dodge is a true pioneer of embedded systems technology. Together with business partner Gordon Bell, he created one of the world's first message-passing operating systems - the forerunner to the revolutionary QNX® Neutrino® microkernel RTOS. To encourage and support embedded systems studies in post-secondary institutions, Mr. Dodge established the QNX-in-Education program, which offers colleges and universities around the world free software for classroom work and research projects. He also funded the first chair for computer science at the University of Waterloo in 1998. Mr. Dodge is a passionate advocate of standards for the embedded industry, and in 2001 was invited to sit as a founding steward of the Eclipse consortium, an open-source software initiative. Mr. Dodge has garnered several tributes, including the prestigious J.W. Graham medal in Computing and Innovation from the University of Waterloo, an honor shared by a select group of industry luminaries that includes Bill Reeves (Pixar Studios) and Jim Mitchell (Sun Microsystems). In 2002 Dodge and Bell were acclaimed as Heroes of Manufacturing by Fortune magazine. Mr. Dodge holds a Master's degree in mathematics. |

Jennifer Camelon
Chief Financial Officer [+] More A chartered accountant, Jennifer Camelon joined QNX Software Systems in 1993 as the company's controller, and in 1998 became its chief financial officer. As a member of the senior management team, Ms. Camelon leads the company's financing and performance measurement activities; she also manages the corporate general and administrative division, including all financial, administrative, and information-systems functions of the company and its subsidiaries. Her prior experience includes financial management at Delta Hotels and public accounting practice at Price Waterhouse. Ms. Camelon holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from Queen's University, Canada, and belongs to both the Ontario and Canadian institutes for chartered accountants. In 2005, Ms Camelon was named one of Ottawa’s “Forty Under 40” by the Ottawa Business Journal, in recognition of her contributions as a community and corporate leader. |

Tyler Nelson
Vice President of Marketing and Business Development [+] More As vice president of marketing and business development, Tyler Nelson is responsible for strategic relationships with customers and partners, and for strategies that grow market share in the company’s core markets and drive revenue growth in new markets. Before joining QNX Software Systems, Mr. Nelson cofounded startup YOU i Labs to commercialize a set of mobile graphical user interface design tools, touchscreen-centric client engines, and related intellectual property. He also served as vice president of business development and marketing at Bridgewater Systems, where he worked to reposition the company, successfully building new strategic channels and revenue growth leading to the firm’s successful IPO. Prior to Bridgewater Systems, Mr. Nelson served as vice president of global business development at Research In Motion (RIM), the developer of the BlackBerry smartphone. He was responsible for acquisition and commercialization of RIM’s global network of wireless operator partnerships, channel development and management, business affairs and inception, and development and commercialization of the BlackBerry Connect and BlackBerry Built-In business unit. |

Mike Michalyshyn
General Counsel & Vice President of Human Resources [+] More Michael Michalyshyn joined QNX Software Systems in 1998 as general counsel and in November 2000 became vice president of human resources. Mr. Michalyshyn is responsible for the legal, corporate governance, and human resource aspects of QNX Software Systems and its subsidiaries. Prior to QNX, Mr. Michalyshyn practiced Information Technology law with Gowling, Lafleur, Henderson LLP, where he provided legal services to QNX Software Systems. Mr. Michalyshyn belongs to several professional associations, including the Patent & Trademark Institute of Canada, Canadian Advanced Technology Association, Computer Law Association, Licensing Executive Society, and IT.Can. Mr. Michalyshyn graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta Law School, and is a member of the Ontario Bar and a registered patent agent. He holds a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a Master's in business administration. |

Ken Dumont
Vice President of Worldwide Sales [+] More A seasoned executive with nearly three decades of experience in sales and marketing at global organizations, Ken Dumont is responsible for QNX Software Systems’ worldwide sales and services, including direct and distribution sales. Mr. Dumont previously served as the director of North America sales for QNX. Under his leadership, the company’s North American sales exceeded corporate targets, growing 20 percent annually. He also led an initiative focused on the company’s largest accounts that resulted in increased loyalty, improved customer communications, and exponential revenue growth. Before joining QNX, Mr. Dumont was director of enterprise solutions at Siemens Canada Ltd., where he was responsible for all business development, marketing, sales, and support activities. Prior to his work at Siemens, Mr. Dumont held various sales and marketing management roles at Mitel Corporation, where he spearheaded programs for the company’s systems products that resulted in sales and profit growth of more than 20 percent per year. Mr. Dumont holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa. |

Sebastien Marineau-Mes
Vice President of Engineering [+] More As vice president of engineering, Sebastien Marineau-Mes is responsible for all QNX research and development activities, including software development and quality assurance. Since joining QNX, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, from software architect to director of the operating system group. In 2007, he spearheaded the QNX hybrid software model initiative, a breakthrough approach to embedded development that combines the best advantages of the proprietary and open source software models. Mr. Marineau-Mes served as the first project lead for the Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) project and, in 2002, led the team that created the QNX® Momentics® development suite, the first commercially available Eclipse-based IDE for embedded development. In his role of networking architect at QNX Software Systems, Mr. Marineau-Mes worked closely with Cisco Systems to optimize the QNX Neutrino® RTOS for the world’s highest-capacity routers. He has been a major contributor to the QNX technology portfolio, including multi-core, adaptive partitioning, and development tools. |
